The waste from electric and electronic manufacturing industries, also defined as industrial “E-waste” is controlled under the manifest system called “e-SWIS” or “Electronic Scheduled Waste Information System” in accordance with the Environmental Quality (Scheduled Waste) Regulations 2005 (P.U. (A) 294/2005) under the Environmental Quality Act 1974.

In Malaysia, Department of Environment (DOE) under the Ministry of natural Resources and Environment is the responsible agency on management of both industrial e-waste and household e-waste.
